ASU student shoved by police in viral video faces interference charges

TEMPE, Ariz. (CBS, KYMA) - An ASU student is facing misdemeanor charges following an incident on July 19, when she was shoved to the ground by a police officer during an arrest in Tempe, Arizona.

According to news outlets, 21-year-old Eryn Kelise Bonner was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with police.

Footage by Quinn Gamino shows Bonner approaching two officers as they arrest a man outside a nightclub. She is then violently shoved to the ground by a third officer.

The Tempe Police Department (TPD) said they were investigating "whether the officer's actions were consistent…with policy, training, and our core values."

Video released by TPD included CCTV clips of the moments leading up to the arrests, as well as bodycam clips.
