At least two killed in missile strike on Kyiv

KYIV, Ukraine (CBS, KYMA) - Emergency crews worked at a garage co-operative hit in a Russian missile attack Wednesday, where two people were killed, Ukraine's State Emergency Service said.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and rescued two people from the site, the service said. The bodies of two victims were discovered while crews were battling the fire.

Russia fired 70 missiles and also drones in one of its biggest strikes at Ukraine, targeting the Ukrainian energy sector and killing at least 11 people across the country, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

"One of the key targets was our energy infrastructure. The Russians wanted to strike painfully and demonstratively," Zelenskyy said on the Telegram app. "Russian ballistic missiles remain the greatest challenge and air defense packages for us right now are a vital necessity."
