One arrested for possessing methamphetamine

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA) - The San Luis Police Department (SLPD) said one person was arrested for possessing methamphetamine.

SLPD said officers responded to a welfare check on a ten-year-old girl "who was home alone and not attending school" last week.

During the check, SLPD said officers found illegal drugs inside the home, prompting detectives to obtain a search warrant, resulting in them finding 84 baggies containing methamphetamine.

As a result, a 29-year-old woman resident was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center.
