MIAMI (CBS, KYMA) - Rapper Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach early Thursday morning on strangulation charges.
Police said the 50-year-old rapper, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts, surrendered himself at Miami Beach Police headquarters.
Authorities said the victim reported being struck multiple times and strangled on August 28 at a Star Island home.
Ross' lawyers say the accusations by his ex-girlfriend is false.
