Cardinals blow 14-3 lead, fall to Giants 36-24

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (KYMA) - The Arizona Cardinals let an early lead slip away Sunday, falling 36-24 to the New York Giants and dropping to 1-3 on the season.

Arizona came out strong, building a 14-3 advantage behind quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Brissett connected with Marvin Harrison Jr. for a touchdown before Tyler Allgeier added another score to give the Cardinals an 11-point lead.

But the offense struggled to maintain that momentum for the remainder of the game.

Arizona managed just 138 total yards after taking the 14-3 lead, allowing the Giants to take control and complete the comeback.

Brissett finished the game with 21 completions for 250 yards, but he also threw three interceptions.

His final interception came on the last play of the game and was returned 98 yards for a touchdown, putting the finishing touches on New York's 12-point victory.

The loss marks the Cardinals third straight and leaves Arizona searching for answers heading into Week 5.

The Cardinals will return home next week to take on the Detroit Lions as they look to get back on track.
