Student shot outside of a school in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. (NBC, KYMA) - Police responded to reports of a shooting outside of an Omaha, Nebraska high school Wednesday morning.

Authorities said a fight led to one student being shot in the arm.

A firearm was found at the scene and the suspected shooter has been taken into custody, according to police.

Both the victim and the suspect are students at the school.

Police believe this was an isolated incident, and said there is no further threat to the school or the surrounding community.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

One student described what he saw Wednesday morning, saying at one point that he was shook by the incident.
