Social media influencer Clavicular charged with sexual assault

BOSTON (CBS, KYMA) - A social media influencer who's built a big following with livestreams and looksmaxxing, has been accused of raping a teen girl at family's Cape Cod home.

Braden Peters goes by the name Clavicular and is known for using extreme methods to improve his physical appearance.

A 17-year-old accuser told police that last year, Peters got her an uber to his home in Chatham, they did a live-stream event while drinking alcohol, and then he raped her. 

Peters has faced other legal troubles in recent months. In March of this year, he was arrested in Florida on a battery charge connected to an altercation between two women he allegedly instigated and then posted online. 

In May, he and another internet personality pleaded no contest in connection to the apparent shooting of an alligator in the Everglades. The men were sentenced to probation and community service. 

The 20-year-old was also hospitalized in April after appearing to suffer an overdose while livestreaming.

Peters, who lives in Florida and is not in custody, denies the new charges. He's scheduled to be arraigned in a Cape Cod courtroom October 14.
