GoFundMe created to help Yuma family in need of new vehicle

GoFundMe

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - A GoFundMe has been created to help a Yuma family in need of a new vehicle.

The GoFundMe's organizer said the family's vehicle caught on fire earlier this month, and said the vehicle was their only transportation to get them where they need to go.

"My son-in-law is a store manager, my daughter works from home...Their children are just four, three, and two-years-old, and their two-year-old son has Pompe disease and needs regular medical monitoring, including trips to San Diego for care," the organizer said.

The organizer said the GoFundMe was created to help them "get a dependable vehicle as quickly as possible so they can keep up with work, school, and their son's medical needs."

"Having reliable transportation would make an immediate difference for this family as they try to move forward from this sudden loss," the organizer added.

It has a goal of $4,500, with nearly $800 raised so far. If anyone would like to donate to the GoFundMe, click here.
