Thursday marks one year since Charlie Kirk’s death

(NBC, KYMA) - Thursday marks the first anniversary of the death of conservative political activist and commentator Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was shot and killed while taking part in a Turning Point USA outdoor event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

A memorial to Kirk now occupies the site on the school campus where the shooting took place.

People were seen leaving flowers at the memorial as people remember the controversial and beloved leader of Turning Point USA.

His death sparked days of remembrances and vigils by people across the country, with President Donald Trump even mourning his loss.
