Two astronauts do some repair work outside ISS

(NBC, KYMA) - Two astronauts are doing some repair work outside the International Space Station (ISS) Tuesday.

NASA's Anil Menon and European Space Agency's Sophie Adenot are tasked with finishing the replacement a space-to-ground-antenna.

The spacewalk is expected to last six and a half hours.

This is the second spacewalk for Adenot, the first French woman ever to conduct one. For Menon, it's his third spacewalk.

Adenot's history-making first spacewalk took place one week ago, when she and Menon removed a failed space-to-ground antenna.

The antenna is a relay link that enables high-speed communications between the ISS and Mission Control at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

NASA said the pair ran out of time before they could install a replacement antenna, and they'll finish the job, if all goes to plan.
