CENTCOM commander visits USS Lincoln amid supply concerns

(NBC, KYMA) - Adm. Brad Cooper, Commander for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), commented on his recent visit to the USS Lincoln Sunday.

Admiral Cooper called it awe-inspiring and he praised the crew's resilience after reports from sailor's family members of deteriorating conditions onboard.

In a statement posted to CENTCOM's X account, Cooper said the USS Lincoln has the lowest number of mental health cases of the 11 active aircraft carriers. He also said the prolonged time at sea is uniquely challenging and tough.

The ship left San Diego in November and has been deployed for over 250 days.
