Suspect found in Virginia State University shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (NBC, KYMA) - Saturday afternoon, police in Virginia found a suspect linked to the Virginia State University (VSU) shooting.

19-year-old Camron Harris was found hiding inside of a closet at a residence hall on campus.

Harris was taken into custody and Chesterfield County Police confirmed he is not a student at the university.

The shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

When officers arrived on scene they found five people suffering from gunshot wounds outside of campus dorms.

All of the victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Four out of the five victims do not attend VSU. One person, who is not a student there has critical injuries.

The Chesterfield County Police Department said they are continuing their investigation into the shooting, and look for additional people who may have been involved.
