Federal judge dismisses Trump Administration’s lawsuit against Harvard

(CNN, KYMA) - A federal judge dismissed the Trump Administration's anti-Semitism lawsuit against Harvard Thursday.

The judge ruled the government did not prove "an ongoing violation of Title VI" by the university. That's the anti-discrimination statute within the Civil Rights Act.

The administration had accused the Ivy League school of letting anti-Semitism go unchecked.

Much of that claim was based on student protests against Israel's military action in Gaza during the 2023-24 school year.

The judge acknowledged three incidents since then, but said they were too isolated to count as continued non-compliance with Title VI.
