Tracking humid conditions and storm chances into Thursday with drier days ahead

Weather Authority/ KYMA

We are still in for humid conditions and storm chances into Thursday. I am tracking drier air and slightly warmer temperatures for the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Wednesday! Temperatures have been fantastic and trending a few degrees cooler than normal. Afternoon highs were trending in the lower 100s for most areas today.

There are chance for showers and storms being possible in the area this evening and through Thursday morning.

If any storms do develop it could lead to heavy rain, flooding, and strong winds.

The humidity is staying elevated for now, but I am tracking drier air to drop down our dew points later this week.

Monsoonal moisture will be lingering around into Thursday, higher storm and flooding potential will favor toward our east and north.

We are in for drier and less sticky conditions later this week and into the weekend.

Tracking a few clouds for the rest of the week with temperatures trending slightly cooler than normal.

Heading into the weekend we will have drier and slightly warmer weather making a return. Temperatures will heat up next week.
