Rep. Adelita Grijalva highlights threats facing DACA recipients

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA) - Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) participated in a press conference in Tucson Tuesday.

In a press release, the press conference highlighted a "growing number of longtime DACA recipients and Dreamers facing deportation despite pursuing legal pathways to remain in the United States."

Rep. Grijalva was joined by Karla Toledo, Myndy Valencia-Sanchez and Roberto Navarro Bocanegra, three Dreamers "whose stories highlight the uncertainty and challenges faced by recipients of DACA and other longtime members of immigrant communities," as well as community advocates.

During the press conference, Grijalva was said to have reaffirm her "commitment to protecting Dreamers and fighting for the rights of DACA recipients," along with condemning the Trump Administration for continuing to target DACA recipients and immigrant communities who have built their lives in the U.S.
