Trump agrees to pause Iran attacks

(NBC, KYMA) - President Trump is calling for a pause on U.S. military strikes against Iran, at least for now.

But it does come with a new warning.

In a post on his social media account.

President Trump writing that the U.S. military is locked and loaded and ready to go against Iran.

He's calling for a rapid deal with Iran to end the conflict and to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and to end its nuclear threat.

Trump says that Israel has joined the U.S. in the commitment.

This comes after the State Department urged Americans across the Middle East to consider leaving the region or be prepared to depart on short notice.
