Fire in Utah threatens homes

WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah (CBS, KYMA) - Evacuations were ordered after a wildfire broke out and threatened homes in Washington Terrace in Weber County, Utah Monday.

Utah Fire Info officials said the Adams Fire ignited around noon Mountain and had burned through 75 acres by 1 p.m.

"Multiple firefighting resources are on scene and actively responding," they wrote.

Footage captured by resident Andrea Medina Neiswender shows flames and smoke reaching houses on 5700 South, one of the residential roads where evacuations were ordered.

According to Fox 13, a camping trailer was badly damaged by the fire and a home sustained minor damage.

At least two people, a resident and a Weber County Sheriff's Office deputy, were injured during the blaze.

A temporary shelter was set up at the Washington Terrace Senior Center in the neighboring city of Ogden.
