CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Severe storms darken Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS, KYMA) - Severe storms triggered tornado warnings in Illinois Monday, with heavy rain and strong wind gusts expected, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Weather officials warned parts of the Chicago area to "expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees" as a storm barreled through on Monday afternoon.

Footage captured by @AUSstormreport shows rain, wind, and small hail hitting Bedford Park, a suburb southwest of Chicago, Monday.

"Small pellets falling across the street from MDW airport. Looking west at 12:28pm cst," the caption read.

A flash flood warning would remain in effect for Bedford Park until 4 p.m. Central, with expected rainfall rates of two inches an hour, per the NWS.
