Eight found dead inside burning home in Michigan

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (NBC, KYMA) - Eight people, six of them children, were found dead inside a Michigan home after a fire.

Some of the deceased suffered from gunshot wounds.

Authorities were called to a home in Grand Haven Township in Western Michigan just before noon Friday on a report of a house fire.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department said all eight of the bodies were then found inside the home.

The six children were between the ages of five and 15.

Authorities have not identified all of the bodies and did not specify how many of them had gunshot wounds.

Investigators say they are not looking for outside suspects.

One theory, according to authorities, is that this was a murder-suicide.
