YUHSD hosting no-cost physical for high school athletes

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - With the start of the school year approaching, the Yuma Union High School District is helping student-athletes prepare for the upcoming sports season by offering free athletic physicals.

The district is partnering with Onvida Health to host the event at Cibola High School on July 31 from 3:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. The physicals will be conducted by the director of Onvida Health’s Sports Medicine Fellowship Program along with medical residents.

Athletic physicals are required for students to participate in Arizona Interscholastic Association competition. Physicals completed during the event will help athletes meet the requirement for the entire 2026-27 school year.

Parents or guardians must be present with student-athletes during the physical examination process.
