Tracking cloudy conditions and seasonable temperatures for America’s 250th

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Weather conditions are not going to be picture perfect this weekend, but don't let that stop you from celebrating our country's birthday!

For starters, El Centro and Imperial have an air quality alert in effect today from 12 p.m. through 8 p.m. It's tracking to be closer to good and moderate conditions for Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to be seasonable through the holiday. For both today and Saturday, they are tracking to max out around 105°F in Yuma and El Centro.

Unfortunately, after tracking clouds to hold off until Saturday, they are moving in earlier. Expect cloudy conditions into this evening and once again for Saturday. They could carry into Sunday, but won't be as prominent as on the holiday.

Winds are going to be calm throughout Independence Day in Yuma, however, El Centro is tracking a little higher. Wind speed should sit around 12-15mph with gusts reaching up to 20mph. Nothing abnormal for Imperial County, but not ideal conditions.

The sunshine won't be present for the holiday, but all other conditions are calling for a great weekend to celebrate America's 250th!
