Man rescued from rubble in Venezuela

CARABALLEDA, Venezuela (CBS, KYMA) - A 21-year-old man was pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building in Caraballeda, Venezuela Monday after being trapped for 106 hours following recent earthquakes.

Video released by Acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez shows rescue workers freeing Aaron Levi Cantillo Vargas from the debris after the arduous rescue, which took nearly two days.

"After 106 hours trapped and a 43-hour rescue operation, Aaron Levi Cantillo was rescued alive," Acting President Rodriguez said. "Recognition to Civil Protection and all the international groups involved!"

The rescue came as international teams continued to search for survivors following the massive earthquakes that struck the nation on June 24.
