WILLITS, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - Cleanup is underway after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake rocked Northern California Wednesday morning.

Footage captured shows damage inside one family's home, cabinets open, and all sorts of objects scattered on the island and the floor.

There were also some tense moments inside the studios at NBC affiliate KCRA in Sacramento as the monitors began swinging as the powerful jolt hit.

The quake was reported just after 8 a.m. Pacific with the epicenter near the community of Willits.

According to the United States Geological Survey, there were three minor aftershocks.

Power was knocked out to about 10,000 customers across the area. Officials say there are some injuries, but no major damage.
