Clive Davis, music industry titan, dies at 94

(CBS, KYMA) - Clive Davis, also known as the "Man with the Golden Ears," died Monday at the age of 94, his publicist confirmed in a statement to CBS News.

Davis was known for his ability to discover and mentor legendary artists, including Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, and so many more.

The five-time Grammy Award-winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductee was also known for his infamous Grammy Awards parties which were attended by several A-list artists and celebrities.

His family released a statement saying, "We celebrate not only a towering figure whose influence changed music forever, but the man who led our family with grace, generosity and kindness."
