PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Arizona Diamondbacks were unable to secure their third consecutive series victory on Sunday as the Minnesota Twins rallied late for a 4-2 win at Chase Field.

The afternoon matchup featured a memorable moment for Arizona as right-hander Jose Cabrera made his Major League debut on the mound. Cabrera delivered an impressive first outing, holding the Twins scoreless over five innings, but ended with a no-decision.

Arizona struck first in the bottom of the second inning. With two runners on base, Ketel Marte ripped a double into the right-center field gap, bringing home both runners and giving the Diamondbacks an early 2-0 advantage.

The Twins finally broke through in the seventh inning. Pinch hitter Josh Bell, who has been swinging a hot bat during Minnesota's road trip, delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to one run.

Moments later, Alex Jackson tied the game with a base hit to right field. As Corbin Carroll's throw came in to third, it struck Bell and deflected into the Diamondbacks dugout. The unusual play allowed the go-ahead run to score, giving Minnesota its first lead of the afternoon at 3-2.

Arizona had an opportunity to answer in the bottom half of the inning, but Twins outfielder Cody Clemens made a highlight-reel catch in center field. After just moving over from right field, Clemens raced back and crashed into the wall while holding onto the ball to rob Marte of extra bases.

Minnesota added an insurance run in the ninth inning when Trevor Larnach drove in a run to extend the lead to 4-2.

The Diamondbacks' bullpen was unable to preserve the lead after Cabrera's strong debut, as Minnesota scored all four of its runs over the final three innings.

With the loss, Arizona missed out on a chance to claim its third straight series win. The Diamondbacks will look to bounce back on Monday when they begin a new series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
