YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy May 1st! It's been a warm afternoon. Heading into the evening, it will be calm with clear skies and light winds. Temperatures will be warm but mild. Perfect weather to do some stargazing because tonight is May's full flower full moon.

An Air Quality Alert is in effect until 8 pm tonight for parts of Imperial County due to harmful levels ozone pollution.

Going into the weekend, I am tracking a quick warm-up that will push our temperatures above-average.

However, we do have breezy and windy conditions being possible, especially on Sunday, as a low pressure system slides eastward off the Pacific early next week.

LOOKING AHEAD: Breezy and windy conditions move in Sunday with winds coming from the west and south with gusts 15-30 MPH. It could be a little gusty at times, where patchy blowing dust could be possible.

For the first weekend of May, we will have toasty temperatures as highs will be nearing the triple digits. By Sunday, we will have more clouds and stronger winds.

Cooler temperatures and more winds will be part of the forecast early next week and for Cinco de Mayo. Tracking another warm-up by the end of next week.
