Brush fire in New Mexico burns more than 100 acres, forces evacuations

ESPANOLA, N.M. (CBS, KYMA) - A large fire burned more than 100 acres and forced evacuations in Espanola, New Mexico Friday, local media said citing authorities.

The City of Espanola said evacuation orders were in affect from the Santa Claran Casino through to the Fairview Bridge.

Footage from Ernesto Martinez shows the fire burning near the casino.

Citing Espanola Mayor Dennis Tim Salazar, KRQE News reported that three structures had been burned in the blaze.
