Man arrested for mother’s death in Mexicali

MEXICALI, KYMA (KYMA) - A 27-year-old man was arrested by municipal police as the suspect in the death of his mother on Thursday night in the Distrito Federal Ejido of the Mexicali Valley.

According to a press release issued by the police force, the incident occurred following an argument.

The victim was found dead in her home, suffering severe injuries.

Witnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene on foot, prompting a search operation.

He was subsequently located walking along State Highway No. 3, near the Monterrey Ejido.

The young man, a native of Loma Linda, California, was transported to the Guadalupe Victoria police station and placed in the custody of the authorities.

It was reported that he has a history as a psychiatric patient.
