Tracking nice and seasonable temperatures with more winds later this week

Seasonable temperatures and lots of sunshine will be with us through the middle of the week. Tracking more winds for Thursday and Friday.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Today temperatures were a little warmer than yesterday, with highs in the low 80s. This is actually cooler than normal for mid-April.

It's also been a calmer and clearer day, and that will continue into our evening. It will be a great and pleasant evening to dine outdoors and enjoy some tacos on this Taco Tuesday.

A weak high pressure is here through the midweek, keeping the Desert Southwest slightly warmer, drier, and with lighter winds.

Another system will be passing by bringing back breezy and windy conditions on Thursday and Friday.

Tracking more westerly winds to return Thursday for the Desert Southwest. Wind gusts will be between 20-25 MPH.

Winds are looking to be the strongest during the evening hours.

Looking ahead to Friday, tracking even stronger winds and blowing dust as winds will shift and be coming from the north with gusts 25-35 MPH.

Winds will be the strongest during the morning and early afternoon hours. Make sure to secure and cover your outdoor items before then.

Temperatures will stay nice and seasonable through Wednesday. Slightly cooler, more clouds, and winds will rejoin later this week.

For the weekend ahead, we will have daytime highs warming back to the 90s.
