Conditions are tracking nicely for this weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - This weekend is shaping out to be a nice one across the Desert Southwest. After what was originally tracking to be a windier and cloudier two-day stretch, most gusty conditions are going to avoid Yuma County and the Imperial Valley.

Our temperature highs are going to roam around 90°F throughout the region. More specifically, El Centro is expected to max out at 89°F, while Yuma is going to barely cross into the 90s and get up to 91°F this afternoon. Moving to the north, Blythe and Quartzsite are going to sit around 87°F at peak conditions.

What was really sticking out from the crowd for this weekend was the wind gusts. However, it's looking like they will remain in check and both El Centro and Yuma will experience calmer gusts, reaching only about 10mph today.

Along with that, we were tracking a fair share of clouds to cover the Desert Southwest. Those conditions are also tracking to avoid the region this weekend, as well.

It's a wonderful day to get outside, especially with the Yuma County Fair going on at the Yuma Fairgrounds through Sunday night.

Don't let this nice weather go to waste!
