Barbie Dream Fest event criticized by outraged attendees

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS, KYMA) - The Barbie Dream Fest held in Fort Lauderdale from March 27 to 29 went viral for all the wrong reasons as disappointed attendees were left comparing the experience to disastrous Fyre Festival and the Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience.

The event touted a star-studded host of guests, an interactive Barbie Dreamhouse, and exclusive merchandize, but guests were left disappointed after the organizers failed to deliver.

TikTok user @sailortortilla documented her experience at the event, with the title of her video reading, "POV: You spent 75 to 300 dollars to go to Barbie Dream (Fyre) Fest."

"Many children, many things for children," she says. "But I am not a child."
