Tracking cooler temperatures, clouds, and winds this week

We have some changes arriving this week, and it finally includes cooler temperatures. I am also tracking more clouds, breezy conditions through the week, with seasonable temperatures by midweek.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's been a hot 2 weeks with record temperatures for multiple days in a row. It's safe to say it's been the hottest March on record.

Yuma and El Centro did hit new record warm lows just this morning. Take a look.

We are down to the final days of March, and that means Easter is around the corner. There are 6 more days until Easter Sunday!

A strong ridge of high pressure has moved east, taking the extreme heat with it. An active storm system toward our north, which will bring us some relief this week.

I am tracking more clouds, breezier conditions, and cooler temperatures for our week ahead.

We will increase in some clouds overnight leading to cloudier skies for Tuesday. We may get a brief sprinkle or shower tomorrow afternoon/evening, but it's not looking too promising, but there is a slight chance.

Tracking stronger winds throughout the week with wind gusts between 20-30 MPH.

Make sure to secure your loose and light weight outdoor items like easter decorations, so they don't blow away.

Temperatures will cool down to near average levels by the middle of the week. We will also have cloudy skies and some winds throughout the week.

At least we will have more enjoyable weather for the fair this week! But we are looking to heat back up for Easter weekend and more so next week.
