Cloudier skies and calmer winds heading into Sunday

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The harsher conditions from throughout the week have mostly moved out of the area, but we are still experiencing the remnants of them.
Winds have eased off and as we head into Sunday, they should remain on the calmer side. Sunday afternoon, Yuma will experience some higher winds, but it will not last for an extended period of time.
Along with wind gusts on the down trend, air quality has returned to normalcy. Most of our area covered by our air quality index is back to good conditions. As of noon time on Saturday, Calexico is the only area registering moderate conditions.
Our temperatures are starting to warm up once again. Saturday highs will peak in the low 70s, but we will see a big increase on Sunday. Yuma County is trending to be in the 80-83°F range, while Imperial County will sit just a bit cooler in the 77-79°F area.
Overnight to early morning low temperatures are dropping as low as the low-to-mid 40s in Wellton, Tacna and Dateland, as well as Blythe and Quartzsite. For Yuma, San Luis and the Imperial Valley, the mid-to-high 40s is tracking to be the range of temperatures.
