Mexicali sees heavy damages after strong winds
MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - Multiple trees and power poles were knocked down and part of a gas station roof collapsed due to strong winds in Mexicali.
No injuries were reported, but more than 30 wind-related incidents happened, causing power outages in several neighborhoods.
A temporary shelter was set up to help residents affected by the power outages.
As of Wednesday night, traffic lights along major avenues were not functioning and sections of the highway toward La Rumorosa were temporarily closed.
