FIRST ALERT: Tracking another round of winds for Wednesday
We have a few more weather systems that will continue to move in this week. Tracking another round of gusty winds, slight rain chances, and cooler temperatures for Wednesday.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Yesterday it was a pretty windy day! Take a look at our wind recap. Yuma's highest wind gust was 37 MPH, and El Centro's highest gusts reached 42 MPH. Tracking more winds still on the way.

We also had light showers yesterday, but it was pretty light, and still brought some measurable rain to parts of the Desert Southwest. Take a look.


Get ready the active weather isn't over yet! There's still a few more low-pressure systems that are on the way. The next one will arrive on Wednesday, bringing in windy conditions, slight chances for additional rain, and cooler than normal temperatures.

I am issuing a Weather Authority First Alert Action Day for Wednesday as we will have strong winds and dust on Wednesday morning through the afternoon.
Blowing dust and unhealthy air quality are both some of the impacts that could lead to travel concerns.

A Wind Advisory is issues for the Desert Southwest starting Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon for southwest winds with gusts up to 45 MPH.

Winds will strengthen starting Wednesday afternoon and continue through the afternoon hours. Take a look futuretrack wind gust map to see how gusty it will be tomorrow.
Make sure to prepare for the winds now, tie down any loose items that may blow away, cover any patio furniture, so it doesn't get dusty, and move in any items indoors if you can.

A Weather Authority First Alert Action Day will be in place for our windy Wednesday ahead. Daytime highs will drop into the upper 60s, which is cooler than normal.
Another weather system is expected to move in on Thursday, keeping our temperatures below normal. Tracking warmer and calmer conditions this weekend, with 80s making a return on Monday.
