Tracking drier and nice weather for Valentine’s Day weekend

It's been a cloudy day with light showers for some, but things will gradually dry and clear through tonight, leading to a great Valentine's Day weekend ahead.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- We are just 1 day away until Valentine's Day!

It's been a cloudy day with light showers earlier today, and things will gradually clear and dry out through the evening.

It's also day 1 for the Yuma Silver Spur Rodeo at the Yuma County Fairgrounds, if you are going to the rodeo make sure to bring a jacket as temperatures will cool down through the night.

Another lower-pressure system will move in early next week bringing more rain chances and cooler temperatures. But this weekend will be nice and pleasant.

Tracking clearer skies, light winds, and dry conditions for Valentine's Day and for the Silver Spur Rodeo this weekend.

We do have another chance for showers on Presidents Day, followed by cooler temperatures next week.

LOOKING AHEAD: We have more rain chances come early next week, and there is still a possibility we may see widespread shower activity possibly next week, but there are still a lot of uncertainties with the timing and impacts.

Take a look at our rain chances and rain estimates for Monday.

Possible rain totals for Monday are also looking to be very light. One-one-hundredth of an inch or a little more for most areas.
