Tracking a few lower-pressure systems to bring changes here in the Desert Southwest. Temperatures will be nice and cool, along with rain potential, on Friday. Things will clear out and be drier for Valentine's Day, with more rain chances again early next week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Thursday! It's been a cool and clearer afternoon! Heading into the evening, clouds will increase with very slight chance for showers being possible as early as late tonight.

We finally have a weather pattern change as a few lower-pressure systems will be moving in for Friday, and another one come early next week.

These systems will bring a few rounds of showers and cooler temperatures to the Desert Southwest.

Some moisture will creep in tonight-Friday, but it isn't looking to be too significant for our area. Higher moisture levels are expected to favor further east.

Late tonight and through tomorrow morning, some areas could see a few spotty or scattered showers in our area. It's looking to be light, but still be aware of slippery roads if you are getting up early tomorrow morning.

This first round of showers is looking to be very light and not last too long throughout the day. Not every city in the Desert Southwest could see rain, and right now, totals for Friday are a hundredth of an inch or less.

Take a look at our rain estimates below for the Desert Southwest.

We have more rain chances come early next week, and there is still a possibility we may see widespread shower activity possibly next week, but there are still a lot of uncertainties with the timing and impacts.

Temperatures will be seasonable for Friday, with morning showers being possible. Thankfully, things will clear and dry out for Valentine's Day and for the Silver Spur Rodeo this weekend.

We do have another chance for showers on Presidents Day, followed by cooler temperatures next week.
