Yuma Catholic falls to San Carlos in Copper Division Playoffs
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) -Â The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks saw their division postseason run come to an end Tuesday night, falling to San Carlos 51-42.
Yuma Catholic battled throughout, but couldn't overcome the deficit down the stretch as San Carlos pulled away to secure the win.
Sadie Estes led the Shamrocks with 11 points, while Amelia Borrallo added 10. Kimora Coleman chipped in eight points in the effort as Yuma Catholic fought to keep pace.
Despite the loss, the season isn’t over.
The Shamrocks now turn their attention to the 3A state postseason bracket. Official seeding will be announced ahead of the tournament, which tips off February 18 and Yuma Catholic is expected to host a home game to open the next phase.
