Catherine O’Hara’s cause of death revealed
(CNN, KYMA) - The official cause of death for actress Catherine O'Hara has been revealed.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Monday that O'Hara died after suffering from a pulmonary embolism. Rectal cancer was listed as the underlying cause of the embolism.
The 71-year-old star of "Schitt's Creek" and "Home Alone" died last month.
O'Hara was born in 1954 in Toronto, Canada. She appeared in several iconic TV shows and movies throughout her career.
O'Hara is survived by her husband and their two sons.
