Demonstrators hold protest inside Target store in Minnesota

RICHFIELD, Minn. (NBC, KYMA) - Protesters gathered inside a Target Store in Minnesota Saturday.

The group sang, chanted, and called on the Minneapolis-based retailer to take a firmer stand against ICE operations in the state.

It was the same store where two Target employees, both U.S. citizens, were detained last month.

Last week, anti-ICE organizers announced plans to stage the peaceful sit-in at target stores across the state.

Several non-profits are leading the effort, demanding that ICE leave the state in the aftermath of the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of federal officers.
