Tracking clouds and cooler temperatures for the weekend
A lower-pressure system is keeping the clouds and cooling down our temperatures through early next week. No rain is expected for the Desert Southwest this weekend.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It's another cloudy day. I am watching out for any rain potential, but it is looking to favor and stay toward the east.

The clouds will be staying put as we continue to have partly cloudy skies along with light winds and chillier temperatures this evening. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s by Saturday morning.
Today is also National Pie Day! We will have nice weather to stay home or go out for a nice slice of pie. Enjoy!

A lower-pressure system has arrived and will continue to work its way toward the east, bringing in cooler temperatures and pushing in more clouds for the Desert Southwest.

We will continue to see passing clouds this weekend, with no rain expected. All the wet weather will stay further east.

A massive winter storm will be sweeping through most of the nation, bringing significant rain, sleet, heavy snow, and record cold temperatures from the Rockies to the East Coast.

Partly cloudy skies will continue through early next week, and temperatures will cool down slightly below normal on Sunday and Monday. It will also be a little breezy through the weekend with gusts up to 20 MPH. If you are heading to the Yuma Ag Fest tomorrow, we are in store for pleasant and nice weather.
Come late next week, skies will gradually clear with warmer temperatures as afternoon highs will return near or reach the 80-degree mark.

LOOKING AHEAD: I am tracking well-above-normal temperatures late next week. However, compared to the other side of the country, they will be trending very cold.
