Robert Saleh lands head coaching job with Tennessee

The former 49ers Defensive Coordinator is taking charge as the Titans next head coach

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KYMA) - Former San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh was hired as the Tennessee Titans next head coach late Monday evening.

After the Titans fired Brian Callahan midway through the season, the search for the new head man in Tennessee began.

Before returning back to San Francisco for a year, Saleh had a head coaching stint in New York from 2021 to 2024, where he finished 20-36 in the Big Apple.

His time as a great defensive coordinator in the Bay Area helped him secure this job in Tennessee, and now Saleh hopes to bring the knowledge of his former head coaching experience from New York.

The next step for him is to find an offensive coordinator and a quarterbacks coach who can help Cam Ward develop into their franchise quarterback.
