Bruno Mars breaks single-day ticket sale record
(CNN, KYMA) - Record ticket sales with a side of "finesse," Bruno Mars sold 2.1 million tickets last week for his upcoming tour.
It's a new record for largest single-day ticket sales across North America, Europe and the U.K. in Live Nation history.
Sales numbers were shared with Forbes.
Live Nation says the 40-year-old pop star also set a single-day period with TicketMaster.
Ticket demand has prompted Mars to add an additional 32 shows to "The Romantic Tour."
It kicks off April 10 in Las Vegas. Mars' "The Romantic" album debuts next month, his first solo album in a decade.
