Tracking above-normal warmth for the rest of the week

Weather Authority/ KYMA

A ridge of high pressure isn't going anywhere just yet and will keep our temperatures unseasonably warm with dry conditions and plenty of sunshine.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- It was another warm day, but our evening, of course, will cool down and eventually have overnight lows drop to the low 50s by Thursday morning.

A ridge of high pressure continues to stay in place for the region, keeping the Desert Southwest 10-15 degrees above normal.

No big changes are expected through early next week as we will have high temperatures staying in the 80s with calm and dry conditions.

I am tracking a weather pattern change by Christmas Eve and Christmas day, which includes cooler temperatures and possible rain chances.

LOOKING AHEAD: With the incoming weather pattern change expected next week, we have changes to get above-normal rainfall here in the Desert Southwest by the holiday. I will keep tracking and bring more updates as it gets closer. Stay tuned.
