Tracking a cool rest of the week
A weak lower pressure system toward our north will keep our day time highs cool with breezy conditions at times for some areas. A big warm-up is on the way for next week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) -Â It's been a little breezy for parts of the Desert Southwest this afternoon.
Winds will be lighter for this evening, but we could still feel stronger winds here and there through early tomorrow morning with gusts between 20-30 mph.
It will also be pretty cold and chilly tomorrow morning with overnight lows in the 40s and some areas could be in the upper 30s. Make sure to stay warm and bundle up.
As a lower pressure system continues to work its way toward the north it will keep our temperatures slightly a little cooler than normal for the rest of the week.
LOOKING AHEAD: We do have a warming trend next week. Our temperature outlook is showing dark red and maroon colors on the western side of the country and that indicates well above-normal temperatures for the Desert Southwest.
We will see a few clouds to start our Thursday, but tracking sunny and dry conditions for the next several days. Heads up, we have a big warm-up next week with highs near or reaching the 80s by next Wednesday.
