Arizona Senator Mark Kelly on Pentagon investigation
WASHINGTON (KYMA, NBC) - Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) is holding a press conference Monday regarding the ongoing investigation by the Pentagon.
The press conference comes a week after the Department of Defense said it was reviewing "serious allegations of misconduct" against Sen. Kelly after he, along with other Democratic lawmakers, posted a video calling on U.S. service members to disobey illegal orders.
The video prompted President Trump to call the lawmakers "traitors" and referred to them as the "Seditious Six."
During an interview with Kristen Welker on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday, the senator was asked if he plans on cooperating with the Pentagon's investigation, and he said:
"Just like saying that we should be hanged, executed, that's about intimidating. Sending the FBI after us, that's further intimidation. I'll follow the law, but I'm not going to be intimidated. I'm not going to be bullied, especially by Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth."
