Winds remain low throughout Sunday, expected to pick up during week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After originally tracking higher winds pushing through the Desert Southwest, gusts have remained calm, and will continue to be as we work our way into Monday.

As is being currently tracked, a progressive trough is scheduled to make its way through the region, leading to cloudy and windy conditions to begin the work week.

These conditions can be felt as soon as early Monday morning, but may not kick in until the afternoon hours. Winds may reach 20mph+ on Monday evening.

Along with this, temperature highs will hit the low 70s and with a chance to only reach the mid 60s throughout the week.

Sunshine should beat down on the region to begin the week, but there are chances for clouds to cover that up down the week's stretch.
