Long lines form at JFK Airport amid server issues

NEW YORK (CBS, KYMA) - A "system outage" at New York City's John F Kennedy Airport (JFK) delayed travelers passing through Terminal 4 Sunday ahead of Thanksgiving travel kicking off.

Footage posted to X by Claudia Hernandez shows long lines at check-in.

"I'm still waiting at the moment, we got here at 11:20 am and the line has not moved at all," she wrote on X.

"We got notified of the issue at the moment we got to the terminal to check our bags. All of the airlines at terminal 4, JFK are experiencing the same issue," she said.

Storyful contacted the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was awaiting a response.

In a statement reported by NBC News, the Port Authority said, "An assessment was conducted by technicians and the internet connection is now back online."
