President Trump signs to release Epstein files

By Samantha Waldenberg, CNN
US President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social Wednesday that he signed a law directing the Justice Department to release all files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The law, formally titled the Epstein Files Transparency Act, passed the House of Representatives Tuesday by a vote of 427 to 1.
The Senate then unanimously agreed to consider the passed bill as soon as it was received from the House, which happened Wednesday morning.
It is not immediately clear how the Justice Department will release the related files or whether the information will remain tied to ongoing investigations.
