SDFC beat Portland 4-0 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals

San Diego beat the Timbers in a best-of-three series to face the Minnesota United in the next round of the playoffs

SAN DIEGO (KYMA) - The San Diego Football Club defeated the Portland Timbers 4-0 at Snapdragon Stadium Thursday night to advance to Western Conference Semifinals where they will face the Minnesota United.

In the do-or-die Game Three, Onni Valakari sent a perfect cross to Anders Dreyer, who finished it to make it 1-0 less than five minutes into the game.

Minutes later, Valakari set up Amahl Pellegrino for another goal, putting San Diego up 2-0.

In the second half, Pellegrino added another score to seal the deal, as San Diego cruised to a 4-0 victory to advance in the MLS playoffs.

Next up, San Diego FC moves on to face Minnesota United in the Western Conference semifinal.
